WAIST FASHION

  •

Belts are totally in fashion this year however, if not worn properly a belt will only make you look unbalanced.

The trick to belt placement is ….your body shape.

Do you have a short waist, long waist, or are you a hour glass shape?

To find out what your shape is…grab a tape measure.

Now, measure from your bust to the top of your head then measure from your bust down to your hips.

If you measure less from your hip to your bust…then you do from your bust to your head….you have a short waist.

If you’re longer from your hip to your bust than you are from your bust to your head…you have a long waist.

The hourglass figure means your waist is 9 inches smaller than your bust.

NOW…to make you ‘look’ balanced it’s vital to place your belt correctly.

For a short waist, place your belt low on the hip. Remember you don’t have to have on slacks…. A tunic dress with a low-slung chain belt would do the same thing.

For a long waist, place a belt (maybe in a loud color or around a sweater) just above your natural waist. Placing the belt a bit higher on your body will make your legs look longer.

An hourglass body will look totally sexy when belted comfortably…NOT TOO TIGHT with a belt at your natural waist line.  Never wear a belt wider than 1-1/2 inches.  You don’t want it to cut into your curves.

    Until tomorrow
